It is a rather common topic for Computer Science related lectures.
I developed this circa 2005-06 as a programming exercise.
It is now released for educational purpose only,
as I would probably write it in a different way nowadays.
[ FEATURES ]
- Shell interface, run as
> NQueens_OS4 NumberOfQueens
- Iterative backtracking algorithm written in C++ language, compiled with
> g++ -o NQueens_OS4 -fsigned-char nqueens.cpp
> strip -R.comment NQueens_OS4
- Flat ASCII output
- ASCII output for Chess Condal True Type Font
