It seems i maybe wasn`t patient previously. This time round.
I tried it with the same amount of pictures and it took ages but this no music was stuttering so i left it and finally it sorted itself out.

I forgot to add my username to the last comment. Anyhow this is the second time this has happened. I downloaded another copy and all was fine. So i`ll try that again. Keep up the good work.

I like this viewer but i am having slight problems with it. This is the latest version.
I load up a pictures folder and play some an mp3 with it and it caches before it start displaying pictures. During the caching the mp3 will stutter a couple of times then on the third it freezes. I cold reboot then on trying to start the program i get "Division by Zero" "File:AmigaScrap.hws(currentline: 145-In function: p_picturedirscan)" All in a HollywoodPlayer window. Â

@all
The ability to choose different backgrounds wasn't working right in version 2.6. It is fixed in version 2.6.5.

@Hans I like your suggestions and have implemented them in the latest CollageBlanker instead of AmigaScrapbook---recursive directory scanning is not so practicle when you are limited to the number of pictures that can be displayed.

For ignoring non-image files, may I suggest using the IsPicture() command. I just looked at an old Hollywood 1.93 script of mine, and that's what I used to filter out non-image files.

Could you please add recursive directory scanning? I have an images directory with sub-directories that I'd like to use. I'm using a soft-link to this directory which works fine (although I wish that I could just tell AmigaScrapbook where to look).
Also, AmigaScrapbook fails whenever it encounters a .info file. It should either ignore these files, or better still, be tolerant of non image files and skip over them.
Other than those two issues, it works quite well.

It was just reported to me that the latest AmigaScrapbook does not work without the newest pngalpha.lib that was included with the latest Hollywood (2.5). Andreas has said that he is going to be uploading that library to Aminet very soon.
You actually can still use AmigaScrapbook without this library as long as none of your pictures in the main "Pictures" drawer are ones with alpha-channels (having ALPHA in the picture name just before the extension). The new library is really only necessary for saving resized png pictures with alpha-channels. (This is the case with one of the sample pictures included). Everything should work fine with any other picture type. So you can just remove all pictures from the main "Pictures" drawer that have ALPHA in the title just before the extension; or just wait for Andreas to upload the newest pngalpha library.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

@AlexC
Good suggestion! It has been added in the new version (2.1). If you do need to choose a different font, make sure that it is as close to "Bitstream Vera Sans Bold" as possible (for alignment purposes). AmigaScrapbook will also now use the font that you selected for the auto-generated Exif data display.

Here it starts a black to white curtain effect then exits complaining that it can't find Bitstream Vera Sans Bold.font with size 25.
I don't have that font (I renamed it VeraSansB.font because I got tired of typing a long name with spaces).
Maybe it could open a font requester when the desired font can't be found?

When I run AmigaScrapbook (1024x768) I get:
Error locking directory! File: AmigaScrapbook1024x768.hws (current line:53 - In function: ReadDirectory)
I also had to recreate the AdditionalPrograms directory because it was only an icon and could not be opened.
