It would be nice to know what recommened environment settings for GIMP to use when running a system like the X5000 with lots of memory. Adding Multicore support when available would greatly help boost the use of GIMP, and even make it use the GPU power of a graphic board instead of the CPU. I still believe it will help udating those AmiCygnix tools and applications like GIMP and its Beautify to better support the new Update 3. Since it seems that Update 3 is using new optimized PPC code of sort for most of the improvements.

I wonder if some changes have to be done to undo maximum memory size, maximum amount of images to load and setting the cache memory in the Environment settings? They're at default. What are the recommend settings for an X5000/20 having 8GB DDR3 memory and a 4GB RadeonRX based Polaris graphic board? I'm running AmigaOS 4.1 Final Edition Update 3 with Enhancer 2.2. Beautify plugin worked under Update 2 without any problems. Under Update 3, it causes the system to freeze when trying to run Beautify.

I have 8GB in my X5000/20. I didn't do any changes to GIMP or AmiCygnix. It all worked under Update 2, but Update 3 caused the GIMP Beauty to freeze the system. Is there a workaround on this problem, or could several of the plugins be updated to better handle the Update 3 changes?

Hmm - I've tried it here with the original binaries and it still works for me (Also X5000/20 + update 3). Maybe you have not enough free memory? My system gets instable, when only 300 - 400MB are left.

GIMP Beauty freezes my X5000/20 when trying to run it with AmigaOS 4.1 Final Edition Update 3. It attempts to load the Beauty when activating it but underway it freezes the system. Any possibility to fix those plugins to work with AmigaOS 4.1 Final Edition Update 3? The Update 3 changed something, despite being a better update.
