Rise of the Triad for Amiga OS 4 This is a port of the old 3D Shooter "Rise of the Triad". Base source-code from icculus.org. At their site you also find a link to the shareware Data Files. The OS 4 version of ROTT has had some rework and enhancements to make the gameplay better. Most noticeably the resolution of the game has been changed to a default of 640x480 which makes the game all the more fun. Thanks to the WinRott source this could be realised in a limited amount of time. This port is based on the port Steffen Haeuser did. Installation and instructions. There are 2 compilations of ROTT. The file rott_demo runs the shareware version of the game. Just place it and the shareware version of the wad file in a directory and run the game. Use a stack of 200000. The file rott runs the full version of the game. It requires the following to work. Place the file rott and the files darkwar.rtl, darkwar.rtc and darkwar.wad in a directory. In that directory create the directory darkwar and copy the file license.doc there from the original ROTT distribution. Run the game with a stack size of 200000. Use the command line option ? or HELP to get a list of supported command line options. The important ones are: WINDOW - runs the game in a window MODE - select the screenmode for the game. Defaults to 640 480. Use for example MODE 800 600 to use 800x600. Support Since I made many enhancements to the OS 4 port Steffen Haeuser did and changed many sources it may be best if you run in to any trouble to contact me instead of him.
