I did read here. But there isn't much. Looks like stuff about Cube. And then some Amiga command line ooptions. I thought Doom and Quake started it all? Well they caused a stir I remember. I haven't heard of Cube till now so don't know what it started.

As to the readme.html it came up when I opened the Cube draw after extracting to RAM. So I opened it but what came up wasn't very readable. So it's not that NotePad can't show HTML, as I know, it's that I clicked a readme icon and what came up wasn't very readable!

I used to have SimpleHTML but haven't reinstalled it. I can see it wasn't a proper icon but my WB had done it.

I've also been to the official site. But it assumes you know what it's talking about. Which I don't. I found this thing called Cube on OS4Depot. What is it? Something about 3d, looks intersting. Check out the web site. Look around, still wondering what the hell it is all about.

Check out the game. Get confused bt the input method and no monsters to kill. Check out site again. Still no clue! Huh?

Hypex, you already have a readme (check readme_page here).

If you want more details, check html readme, but of course not by notepad. Strange that you even say notepad can't show html normaly. Of course it cant, why it should ?

Also and cube.bat, and autoexec.cfg make sense, because its not "PC" files, its just bat script and config for auto-execute. Just some luck that it called like that.

You always can go at official site (which url is here , the same as with alien breed port), and ask any question on his forums.

Damn it. I pressed stop when the request was hanging and nothing happened.

Thanks for the port. Is there any way to redefine the arrow keys so that it rotates left and right? The way it is now they only strafe and mouse must be used to rotate left and right. I find this setup almost impossible to use and unpractical. I'm surprised in was put in there. I guess the game was made for joypads.

Seems Wouter spent more time programming it than writing docs. The readme is useless as HTML is hard to read in NotePad. And things like cube.bat and autoexec.cfg don't make sense on Amiga. I'm happy you made it runnable from an icon as I would have been lost and thought I was trying to run a PC program on OS4.

How about an Amiga readme? ;-)

BTW where are the monsters? I've gone around the game, collected stuff but have mothing to kill. Seems to act like Quake 3. :-)

...I suppose the icons you refer to, are done by me... ;-)

Regarding SOBJs, kas1e already did a new static build where all .so are statically linked in the binary. http://www.amigans.net/modules/news/article.php?storyid=1276#comment9843

Questions:

There are no icons in the package, but you have designed some as mentioned on Amigans - so do you plan to include re-upload Cube?

Secondly on the description you mention some sobjs are required, but don't name them. Would it be better to a) include them in lha ^.^ or b) embed them in the code so new users don't have to piss around looking for files and working out where they belong - and ideally they should have been included anyway! Also I don't see any sign of installation package or batch file. :(
