... What is it ... SuperTuxKart is a 3D open-source arcade racer with a variety of characters, tracks, and modes to play. To have good perfomance and no visuall glitches, you should have as minimum: ogles2.library : >= 3.1 Warp3DNova.library : >= 1.85 RadeonHD : >= 3.7 or RadeonRX : >= 2.4 with Prefs:PowerManagment set to HIGH This port based on the latest, 0.8.1 sources. The learn the control choice "tutorial" in the menu (right bottom icon of a book) ... Performance note ... If you on Radeon RX driver, BE SURE you set Prefs: PowerManagment to HIGH, save and reboot. That need to be done because at the moment Radeon RX can't raise resources as expected in all the cases (probably due to lacking DMA in the drivers) and if you have auto-power management or anything different than HIGH your FPS will bad. On x5000/020 with RadeonHD and latest ogles2/warp3dnova, you can expect up to 60FPS on some levels, while in other ones you may drop to just 15-20. Most of the time you will be around 30-40. A game needs about 350 MB of RAM, 350 MB of GPU memory, 40 MB of the system's VRAM memory, and 350 MB of HDD space. Video in action on AmigaOS4, 1920x1080 full HD: https://youtu.be/uyuT4UGfDc8 ... ChangeLog ... v1.2 (15.04.2021) -- much faster startup: 7 seconds now instead of 17 -- working FBO usage. (you can see how post-processing (motion blur) shaders working for example in the "Subsea" level when we "accelerates"). -- fixed loading of addons which were broken since hardcoded http://stkaddons.net/ expired in favor of new https://online.supertuxkart.net -- added data/cert.pem and necessary code to handle SSL connections -- display FPS is ON by default -- recompiled with GCC 10.3.0 v1.1 (30.12.2019) -- added joystick support v1.0 (first amigaos4 release): -- gl4es is used for OpenGL (so ogles2/warp3dnova) -- build based on amigaos4 port of Irrlicht engine: https://github.com/kas1e/Irrlicht -- amigaos4 paths (was a mess!), stack cookie -- built with GCC 8.2.0 -- fixes of warnings thrown by -Wall on GCC 8.2.0 -- fixes of setenv()/unsetenv() -- workaround to make game loads fast even on public Newlib (due to slow ftell()/fseek() implementation) -- fixes in Irrlicht engine which come with SuperTuxKart (they use their own, modified one) ...
