correction: I dragged the "Outline Font" and "Bitmap Font" icons from the archive to Devs:Datatypes, and made sure every other component is where it belongs to be and the newest one.

Does not work here. AmigaOne X1000 AmigaOS 4.1 Final Edition Update 3. Installed using the included installer. Could not find ft2.library anywhere, not on aminet, not on OS4depot. The included read-me says "Fully integrated ft2.library", so it should not be needed anyway. I dragged and copied the old "Outline Font" and "Bitmap Font" icons from the old archive included in the new one (the installer should check and do that!), rebooted, but still does not work. will a new version be updated?

@tekmage "AddDataTypes list" does not mention anything related to font i the list, I have installed version 54.1 in SYS:Classes/DataTypes/font.datatype. No log is present in t: before nor after trying to open a font file.

@tekmage Please ignore the previous message ;) I managed to get it working when I added the old data types to the devs:datatypes drawer.

@VirgolaMobile Datatypes have a few parts; I'm not sure what's wrong with your description. First, run "adddatatypes list" and see if you see "font, "FONT", that means multiview should understand what a "font", in this case #?.(font|ttf|otf|otag|pfb). Next, make sure the right font.datatype is installed with "version sys:classes/datatypes/font.datatypes". Last, check t: for "font.datatype.log"

I have installed this DataType on a QEMU VM Pegasos2 with AmigaOS 4.1 FE update 3 (ft2.library version 53.2) launching the included "install font datatype" and then rebooted. The datatype does not seems to work at all, none of the fonts I have tried to open with MultiView is recognized, I have tried with all the supposed to be supported formats: *.otag, *.ttf, *.otf, *.pfb. Am I supposed to do something else in order it to work?

@lazi I've not tested the version I built with AI with that prefs program. Let me know if you run into issues and I can take a look.

Works great! Thanks! Note that there is a muirexx prefs program for this datatype on Aminet: http://aminet.net/package/util/dtype/FontDTPrefs And maybe the guide will be useful from the original archive: http://aminet.net/package/util/dtype/FontDT-1.3
