It isn't clearly stated in the readme, but the program requires AmiSSL 5.x in all cases. So if you get "Error initializing cURL" when launching the program, please install AmiSSL v5. I forgot this when I changed it to link plugins in the executable.

It happened the first time i opened the application, then when i restarted the whole program the image was automatically changed, and if i clicked again on such image it didn't crashed anymore

Does it happen every time? With default settings? Or did you do something else before double-clicking?

Double click into the image of widget will crash the app
