If somebody only can find a way to solve the issue of not being able to use an external messenger with Facebook, Outlook, Messenger, Yahoo contacts, then that would be great. For now, it seems we Amigans are forced to rather use the Chat option on sites that allow you to use Chat. Some kind of security changes Microsoft, Facebook and Google have made in later time now. Pity, but that how it is...

I also thought it was a new version but uploader only changed the readme file (although the content looks the same as the 3 year old one). All other files are from 2013, so it is just an upload of an old version. But yes, this version is recent becausse no newer one was developed since then.

The jabberwocky.lha uploaded to OS4Depot by "uploader" is not a recent version. It's the last release from 2013. The project at https://sourceforge.net/projects/ajabberwocky and the homepage are no longer active. Unless another programmer joins the project to work on the program, no further updates will happen. Most Jabber servers now require a secure connection (SSL/TLS) which Jabberwocky doesn't support.

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work using external chat applications other than Facebook's own Messenger or the upcoming Google Messenger. When Facebook did a lot of internal changes, they somehow cut off the possibility of using external messenger systems. Facebook wants users to use their own chat system, which is now Messenger tied together with Facebook. Outlook contacts are also connected to Messenger (again tied to Facebook). 
 
About 2 years ago (i would say), it was no problem using the QT Vacuum or Pidgin to chat with Facebook and MSN general contacts. These are no longer possible with external messenger clients at least on the Amiga. On PC or Mac, you use the Messenger app, and that is what is working, or using the Chat inside Facebook. These are the only working chat options these days...Sad, but true...

Great to see Jabberwocky being developed again. But it doesn't seem that the homepage is active. Tried to click different stuffs on the homepage, but no reaction. Still only the same page that the link to the site connects to.

Thanks for the latest version. Is the homepage still active? Is there a way to contact the author some way?
